GARID Project
Ghana Accra Resilient & Integrated Development
GARID Project | World Bank Funded
The Ghana Accra Resilient and Integrated Development (GARID) project is a major World Bank-funded initiative aimed at improving flood resilience and urban development in Accra's peri-urban areas, including the Ga North Municipality.
The project addresses the persistent flooding challenges that affect thousands of residents in low-lying communities within the municipality, improving drainage infrastructure, flood-proofing homes, and strengthening community resilience.
Through GARID, the Ga North Municipal Assembly is working to build a more sustainable, flood-resilient municipality where all residents can thrive regardless of seasonal weather events.
